This section provides an overview of what you'll be creating as you go through the lessons of the QuickStart Tutorial. The idea is to give you the big picture so that as you work your way through the tutorial you'll know how the pieces fit in.

Scenario - Optel one day training seminar

The tutorial takes you through the steps of building an actual customer enquiry. The scenario involves building an initial customer enquiry for a fictional communication company called Optel.

You can create the enquiry and all documents in the live YOURfunction system. In this tutorial we'll focus on steps needed for optimizing YOURfunction.

The YOURFunction home page provides access to each database.




Calendar Frame

The booking calendar frame looks like this:



The frame contains the following information:

Display the calendar in one-day, two-day, one-week, two-week, one-month, or work week format

Tip The work week view icon displays the number of days you've set the work week view for. You can set the work week view in your calendar preferences, in the Display tab.

Click the corresponding format icon.

Note You can also change the format by choosing View - Change Format in the menu.

Displays details of existing bookings including Company Name, the resource booked, Bump in and Bump out times of a function and the status of the booking (shown as an icon)
To create a new enquiry.click



Step-by-Step

To create the enquiry for Optel, Click the New Customer booking button in the Calendar frame.
